Composition student Giuseppe Gallo-Balma's Work Selected for Symposium

Conservatory composition grad student Giuseppe Gallo-Balma's piece, Agua de Mayo, was selected for performance at the Puerto Rico Flute Symposium, conducted by María Gabriela Rodríguez, June 2020. The Symposium will feature renowned composers and performers including Valerie Coleman, Alhelí Pimienta Barajas, Christine Erlander Beard, and Serenade Duo. 

Gallo-Balma is a first-year graduate student in composition at the UMKC Conservatory, studying with Zhou Long. He received his undergraduate degree Columbus State University and studied with Dr. James Ogburn.
