The Conservatory is pleased to welcome Kevin Noe, Visiting Professor of Music and Director of Orchestras, Fall, 2019. Professor Noe is currently Director of Orchestras, Musique 21, and Director of the Graduate Orchestral Conducting Program at Michigan State University. An avid champion of the arts of our time, he has commissioned and premiered more than 100 works to date and is the Artistic Director of the Pittsburgh New Music Ensemble. With a background in the theatre as a singer/actor, he is also a writer, stage director, dramaturge, film editor, producer, sound mixing engineer, and collaborative creator of staged multi-media work. Professor Noe has previously served as a resident guest conductor at the Jacobs School of Music, Indiana University and the Director of Orchestras and the Graduate Orchestral Conducting Program, The University of Texas at Austin. Professor Noe brings 22 years of experience as a director of orchestral studies and the head of orchestral conducting training programs to the Conservatory.
