Conducting Alum Luis Víquez Joins Faculty in Costa Rica for Summer, 2019

The UMKC Conservatory is pleased to note that Luis Víquez (DMA, orchestral conducting, 2017) has been invited to join the faculty at the University of Costa Rica School of Music as a Visiting Professor of Chamber Music for Summer 2019.

Dr. Víquez continues his work as Director of Orchestral Activities and clarinet professor at the University of South Dakota, Vermillion.

He will also perform Igor Stravinsky's Ebony Concerto for clarinet and jazz ensemble as a soloist with the San José National Symphonic Band, Costa Rica's premiere wind ensemble, May 28, 2019, under the direction of Latin Grammy winner conductor Eddie Mora.
