Freshman piano major from Thailand Saomek Srithongkum was recently featured in the Thai publication, Hello Education. The article tracks his early development as a pianist, life in Thailand, and his decision to attend the UMKC Conservatory to study with faculty Thomas Rosenkranz.
Srithongkum was recently awarded First Prize at the 2019 Golden Classical Music Awards International Competition and performed at Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall as part of the winner’s concert.
Srithongkum was accepted at multiple international universities, including the Royal College of Music, London, but chose to study at the UMKC Conservatory with Dr. Rosenkranz.
