Composition alumni continue to achieve commissions and make news. Tatev Amiryan (DMA, composition, 2016) was commissioned for a piece by the Portland Youth Philharmonic (PYP), which is the oldest youth orchestra in the United States, established in 1924. She will write a piece for concert band for their 2021 concert season.
Tatev's article "The Road to Home: Memories of Life in Armenia" was published in the Fall issue of the IAWM International Alliance for Women in Music Journal.
Finally, Tatev is among the winners of RMN Classical 2020 Call for Piano Works. Her piano piece Berkano will be included in the new album Modern Music for Piano 3, which will be produced and released by RMN Classical in 2021.
