Dr. David Thurmaier, Associate Professor of Music Theory and Chair of the Music Studies Division, has been named co-editor of the Journal of Music Theory Pedagogy, along with Rebecca Jemian (University of Louisville). The journal is sponsored by the Gaill Boyd de Stwolinski Center for Music Theory Pedagogy.
For the past 35 years, the Center has provided an international clearinghouse for information concerning the teaching and learning of music theory. Thurmaier and Jemian begin their editorial work January 1, 2021, working on the 35th volume of the journal.
