Thomas Rosenkranz, Associate Professor of Piano/Keyboard Area Coordinator, gave an online interview with Backstage, during which he discussed his beginnings with the piano, love for new music (and teaching it to students), the music of Messiaen, and what it was like to study with Yvonne Loriod Messiaen.
Rosenkranz also live streamed a performance called "Improvisations, Riffs and Variations on the Music of Ives and Beethoven" as part of Yarn/Wire. He is a guest at this year's online festival.

He also spoke briefly about how he uses Improvisation as part of his daily practice and then how he realizes it in the context of various composers.
