The UMKC Conservatory is pleased to note that composer Kerwin Young (BM, MM, composition, 2015) has two recent commissions for the Tesla Quartet and for the music ensemble ROCO's annual Musical Ofrenda at MECA. Kerwin is part of Tesla's Alternating Currents commissioning projects and he is one of 12 composers selected to write a short piece for string quartet.
ROCO will present the world premiere of a trio commission by Kerwin Young, Coming Forth by Day for its annual Musical Ofrenda at MECA (Multicultural Education and Counseling through the Arts), Houston.
