UMKC Conservatory students often have research papers admitted to prestigious conferences and we are pleased to note that Alex Shannon, working on an MM in Music Theory has his paper "Structural and Extramusical Significance of Stravinsky's Anomalous Hexachords in Two Serial Pieces" admitted to the University of Cincinnati CCM's graduate Music Theory & Musicology Society 2020 Conference: Conversations in Music. Alex's paper was also accepted to UMKC's 2020 Interdisciplinary Symposium.
