Yizhang Liu Wins Award From Golden Key Composition Competition

Second year DMA composition student Yizhang Liu (MM, composition 2020) has won second prize in the Golden Key Piano Composition Competition with his work Tempestuous Flow. Yizhang competed among 182 participants from the United States, France, New Zealand, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan, Malta, Poland, Russia, China, Serbia, South Korea, Japan, Norway, New Zealand, Australia, Great Britain, Italy, and Kuwait. 

Yizhang's "second degree diploma" in the National Category means that Tempestuous Flow has been recommended for the program of the World Composers Recital at the Golden Key Music Festival at Vienna, August 3, 2022, where the Diploma and Winner's Medal will be presented on the stage of Vienna’s historic Ehrbar Hall during the Award Ceremony.

Yizhang is invited to the Golden Key Music Festival at Vienna (August 1–8, 2022) to perform his music in Ehrbar Hall. As the Festival participant, Yizhang is entitled to perform in Bӧsendorfer Hall at Mozarthaus, and participate in all our performing, educational, and entertaining programs in Austria.
