Yizhang Liu (MM, composition 2020) who is a current, second year DMA composition student, has been chosen as a winner in the RMN Classical Call for Piano Works 2021. Yizhang won with Tempestuous Flow. This piece was also featured in a UMKC performance "Ravel Reimagined presented by: The Studio of Alon Goldstein" in collaboration with UMKC Keyboard and Composition Departments, April 11, 2021, and performed by Valerie Wellington, piano.
