During the World Association for Symphonic Bands and Ensembles conference in Prague, the compositions of the finalists of the 3rd WASBE Composition Contest were performed and the 1st prizes were awarded.
In category 2 (difficulty level 3–4) Derek Jenkins (BM composition, 2010; MM musicology, 2017, DMA composition, 2017) won first place with his composition Rock Bottom.
