Conservatory alumni Kowoon Lee (DMA piano performance, 2021) and Danel Shineberg (MA music therapy, 2018; DMA flute performance, 2021) have formed Duo Confluence, a duo which specializes in premiering works by underrepresented communities.
The duo has been selected to perform three times at the Music by Women International Music Festival where they will perform works by Stephanie Anne Boyd, Amanda Harberg, and give the world premiere of Simple Things by Hannah Adhikari.
