Devin Cholodenko (MM, Composition, 2021) is the winner of the 2021 Dr. Gerald Kemner Prize, UMKC Orchestra Composition Competition for an Orchestral Work. His composition Mountains in the Distance will premiere with the UMKC Conservatory Orchestra, March 5, 2022, 7:30 p.m., in White Recital Hall.
