UMKC Conservatory composition alum James Eakin (DMA 2007) has won the American Prize in Composition 2022 for larger choral works for #twitterlider: 15 tweets in 3 acts written for the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus at Davies Symphony Hall. Eakin is Composer-in-Residence for the San Francisco Gay Men’s Chorus and the Kansas City mixed chorus, Te Deum.
