First year MM student in composition, Jiaqi Wang's work Stories of the Six Realms of Samsara (2020) for mixed quintet was selectd for the S.E.M. Ensemble Emerging Composer Workshop 2023. The piece will premiere in Brooklyn, NY, Feb. 15, 2023.
Additionally, Jiaqi Wang's work The Call of Life for symphony orchestra (2021) was one of the winning pieces in the Missouri Composers Project competition. It will be performed April 16, 2023, at the First Baptist Church in Columbia, MO by the Columbia Civic Orchestra.
