On March 3, 2021, Shengnan Cao, a second year DMA composition student, had her new composition, Fantasia Nirvana for orchestra, selected by the 6th China National Center for the Performing Arts Young Composer Program. Her work is one of twelve semi-finalists among the 102 international submissions. Fantasia Nirvana will be performed in a public concert by a professional orchestra in China, for the final selection of the winners competition.
