Third year composition DMA student Yintong Liu and alum Dr. Jiyoun Chung (DMA composition 2019) have works that are among the 189 selected as finalists from about 8,000 applications from 172 composers in 86 countries for Kaleidoscope. Yintong Liu submitted her orchestral work Shanhai Fortress and Jiyoun Chung submitted the orchestra work Scissors Fantasia Toccata.
Kaleidoscope, is a conductorless orchestra dedicated to enriching lives through exhilarating concert experiences, artistic excellence, musician leadership, and connecting with the diverse communities of Los Angeles.
