UMKC Conservatory DMA student Yun Li's orchestral composition Impression MoGao was performed by the Guangxi Arts University Symphony Orchestra at the Guangxi Culture & Art Center, November 3, 2021. This concert celebrated symphony pieces as a part of China-ASEAN’s Music Week.
China-ASEAN Music Week is an international music event sponsored by Guangxi Arts University. It is one of the three important music exchange platforms in China (Beijing Modern Music Festival, Shanghai Contemporary Music Week, China-ASEAN Music Week). The music week includes symphony concerts, chamber orchestra concerts, Chinese national orchestra concerts, academic forums, composition competitions, and master classes.
Yun Li previously received her bachelor and master’s degree at Beijing's China Conservatory of Music. Her compositional output includes solo and chamber music, as well as works for orchestral and vocal ensembles.
