Luis Víquez (DMA orchestral conducting, 2017) has been selected as a national semi-finalist in both the professional orchestra division (Orquesta Sinfónica de Heredia "Costa Rica desde Afuera") and the college/university orchestra division (University of South Dakota Symphony) of The American Prize in Conducting.
Luis is an assistant professor of music and director of orchestral activities at the University of South Dakota.
