The UMKC Conservatory is pleased to note that Lydia Bechtel-Edmondson (MM, musicology, DMA, vocal performance, 2020) has received the 2020 University of Missouri-Kansas City Distinguished Master's Thesis Award for her musicology master's thesis, "Beyond Prima Donna; Pauline Viardot's Collaboration on Meyerbeer's Le Prophete, Gounod's Sapho, and Berlioz's Arrangement of Orphee."
