Conservatory trumpet student Zane Brown (BME) has been chosen by Conservatory faculty to receive the prestigious Presser Foundation Undergraduate Scholar Award for the 2022–2023 academic year. Recipients of this prestigious award receive a significant monetary award to be used at their discretion—this may be applied toward tuition, housing costs and other expenses normally incurred in pursuit of a degree or for musical advancement opportunities not normally provided in a university or conservatory setting.
Zane was selected for this award based on his academic and musical achievements at UMKC during his first three years of study and will be known as a Presser Scholar.
