UMKC Conservatory Theatre senior Hieu Bui has won best 10 minute short play in the KCACTF Region 5 with his play Blanket. He notes, "I wrote this play to tell the stories of my family and create more opportunities for me and others like me. I want the audience to connect and reflect back to a time where they had to give up something."
