Anya Pogorelova, UMKC Conservatory DMA student in wind conducting, was selected by audition to conduct the Ball State University Wind Ensemble during its annual conducting workshop. Anya is the only student to win this honor.
She will conduct on the Feb. 5, 2022 concert and have a private conducting lesson with Craig Kirchhoff. Kirchhoff was UMKC Conservatory Wind Symphony director Steve Davis's conducting professor.
