Carl Allen, William D. and Mary Grant/Missouri Endowed Professor and Chair of Jazz Studies, will perform at the Kennedy Center’s 50th Anniversary Celebration Concert September 14, 2021, in Washington D.C. The concert is hosted by Audra McDonald and features artists including Renée Fleming, Ben Folds, Punch Brothers, Keb’ Mo’, Christian McBride, Rachael Price, and the National Symphony Orchestra.
The all-star concert commemorating the Kennedy Center’s anniversary and return to live performances will be filmed for future broadcast on PBS.
