Keyboard Faculty Christopher Madden Awarded UMKC Entrepreneurship Innovation Grant

The UMKC Conservatory is pleased to announce that Dr. Christopher Madden, Assistant Professor of Piano Pedagogy has been awarded a UMKC Entrepreneurship Innovation Grant. The grant is funded through a larger grant received by the University from the Kauffman Foundation. 

The grant will support a residency by Jonathan Kuuskoski, chair of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Leadership at the University of Michigan School of Music, Theatre, and Dance. Dr. Madden notes “I’m thrilled that Jonathan will be in residence to work with Conservatory students on developing creative approaches to achieving their career goals.”

Kuuskoski's residency will occur sometime in 2022 (specific date TBD), and will include a series of four workshops as well as individual consultation sessions with students.
