Associate Professor and Keyboard Area Coordinator, Thomas Rosenkranz was recently named a recipient of the Fulbright Scholar Award for the 2022–2023 academic year. As part of this award, he will spend the Fall 2022 semester as artist in residence at Tunghai University in Taichung, Taiwan.
Rosenkranz will teach public master classes, conduct a class on chamber music and present four recitals of American music featuring works by Charles Ives, Frederic Rzewski, John Adams and others. In addition, he will travel throughout Taiwan visiting several universities presenting lectures and master classes and collaborating with local musicians.
The Fulbright Scholar Award is sponsored by the U.S. government to facilitate the exchange of professors abroad in hopes to create a mutual understanding between countries.
