Luis Víquez (DMA conducting, 2017) has been nominated for a Latin Grammy as a conductor and as a clarinetist for the 23rd Latin Grammy Awards with the album Eddie Mora: El Ruido del Agua recorded by MUSITICA Records, in which Dr. Víquez collaborated with various artists from Costa Rica and the United States, including the University of South Dakota Symphony.
Dr. Víquez is also a clarinet artist for the brand D’Addario Woodwinds and Director of Orchestras and Associate Professor of Clarinet at The University of South Dakota, Vermillion.
