Kealie O’Brien (BME 2019) has been selected as UMKC’s Outstanding Beginning Teacher for 2021. Every two years the Missouri Association of Colleges for Teacher Education (MACTE) honors exemplary new teachers across the state for their excellent work with Missouri’s young people.
UMKC Conservatory's Music Education faculty nominated Ms. O’Brien as an exemplar from beginning teachers across all fields who recently graduated from UMKC. She will be honored during the MACTE virtual conference in March 2021.
