The Hollywood Reporter has named the UMKC Conservatory one of the top ten costume design schools in the U.S. Faculty Brandon R. McWilliams has a completely revised curriculum for Fall, 2023 and the Feb. 26, 2023 article quotes McWilliams, “It’s really our students that make us unique. We are able to focus our training on guiding and elevating the authenticity that each of our students brings to the table — and since they are all so dedicated to the practice of costume design and production, it’s just the perfect storm.”
The top ten list includes Carnegie Mellon, Yale, NYU and others.
