About the Academy

The Conservatory Academy offers applied instruction in the performing arts to the Kansas City-area community through private lessons, group classes, festivals, workshops and programming facilitated by the Conservatory faculty, alumni and graduate students, as well as renowned visiting artists and performers. We also bring the performing arts to classrooms in local schools through the popular Conservatory in the Schools program.

Mission

The Academy is the bridge between the Conservatory's highly regarded degree programs and the performing arts needs of the Kansas City community. The Academy operates within the Conservatory to provide non-credit preparatory performing arts education programming for children and adults in the metro area. In addition, the Academy is the Conservatory's organizational office for workshops, festivals and continuing education for music educators.
