Conservatory Clarinet Faculty Jane Carl Performs at South Dakota Clarinet Day

The UMKC Conservatory is pleased to note that Dr. Jane Carl is featured at the 2018 South Dakota Clarinet Day. Also participating is Conservatory alum Dr. Luis Viquez, (DMA orchestral and opera conducting, 2017) who studied with Dr. Carl, and teaches at University of South Dakota, Vermillion.

On Thursday, March 29, 2018 the Department of Music and the National Music Museum host the annual South Dakota Clarinet Day. This free event open to all clarinetists in the area regardless of age or level of expertise, will feature educational seminars from Jane Carl, professor of clarinet at the UMKC Conservatory and Jan Gippo, a former piccolist with the St. Louis Symphony, in addition to USD faculty. There will be performances, clarinet choir rehearsals and master classes throughout the day.
