UMKC Conservatory is internationally recognized as a center for artistic excellence, innovation and engagement with our communities.

In rehearsals, in class and on stage, Conservatory students interact with gifted faculty and leading visiting artists in a dynamic creative atmosphere.

Conservatory faculty prepare students for a 21st century arts career by welcoming new ideas while celebrating classic masterpieces, and sharing a sense of adventure in both their instruction and art.

A community of artists, educators and scholars, the Conservatory enrolls nearly 700 students in a comprehensive array of liberal arts and professional degree programs in Composition, Music Theory and Musicology; Dance; Instrumental Studies; Jazz Studies; Keyboard Studies; Music Education/Music Therapy; Vocal Studies and Theatre.
